Their food is pretty decent for being in a small highway town. Had the chow fun, boba tea, strawberry smoothie, all were pretty good, lady serving me was super nice.

11/2025 I’m so happy I decided to give them another try after someone told me how their food was better than I remember—and I’m pleasantly surprised! My family and I ate here a years ago, but recently we've been ordering delivery, takeout, and dining in. Everything has been consistently good. We really appreciate their lunch specials, and we absolutely love the salt & pepper pork chops and wings. Another personal favorite of mine is the BBQ pork fried rice and their comforting wonton soup. If you haven’t been back in a while, definitely stop by and check them out—you might be surprised like I was! Late lunch - quiet - good service from Lily. 10/2025 Stopped in for a late lunch while waiting for our car to get checked out at Purcell Tire and Service Center. We’ve loved their salt & pepper pork chops and salt & pepper chicken wings, so this time we had to try the salt & pepper shrimp (breaded)— and it did not disappoint! The Sweet & Sour Twin (breaded pork and chicken) was also really good. Honestly, the food has been tasting so much better lately! Glad we came by — we’ll definitely be back again soon.

Great service. We tried the crab ragoons for appetizer and they were nice and fresh and crispy. Our lunch plates were a perfect price and came out wonderfully seasoned. The egg flower soup had great flavor as well as our Chow Mein and fried rice! We weren't disappointed with a single thing we ordered! Can't wait to come back.

The cooks in the back KNOW what they are doing! The front of house ladies are truly amazing as well. A wonderful family runs this place and it’s grown to be an affordably delicious spot for Chinese food cravings. Some of the best egg flower soup, my favorite dish is Mongolian beef or lamb or chicken but if I could I would order the entire menu, no lie!

Fernley doesn’t have many good restaurants but China chef is at the top. Food is delicious and fresh. Love that it comes with free appetizers, 2 spring rolls and 2 crab rangoons. I also enjoy their boba

If you’re in Fernley and craving some solid Chinese food, Dragon City is the spot. I had the lunch special with orange chicken and egg flour soup, and it was incredible. The egg flour soup was smooth, comforting, and just the right amount of savory, exactly what you want to start a meal. But the real star was the orange chicken. Crispy on the outside, tender inside, and coated in a perfectly balanced sauce, not too sweet, not too sticky, just straight up delicious. Every bite hit the spot. The portions were generous, the service was friendly, and overall, it was a meal worth coming back for. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!
